100+ Christmas Decorations from the Dollar Store
I love Christmas decorating! If I had a choice my house would look like a Christmas catalog. But I've got Joanna Gaines taste on a Dollar Store budget. *womp womp*
Or so I thought… until I realized that courtesy of the internet, I've got a HUGE selection of Christmas decorations that I can make from things I find at the Dollar Store. Yes – you can find some amazing things at the Dollar Store!
Now I will say that there are some small things that will help you a great deal if you have them on hand when you start making your Dollar Store Christmas decorations (or really any holiday):
- Hot glue gun (I got this one because the Dollar Store sells the glue stick refills for it)
- Spray paint (I prefer this finish, personally, but it's up to you)
- Clear thread (you could really use white, too, but clear has a pretty cool effect)
- Foam brushes (the Dollar Store has them, but they're really not high quality. I use these and they hold up)
- Modpodge (no alternatives are as awesome as the original – and I've tried!)
I want my house to be beautiful and welcoming at Christmas and give off the feeling that I spent tons of time and money making my home perfectly decorated for the holidays. At the same time though, I don't want to blow through my Christmas budget on decorations that are only going to be up for a month of 2.
The dollar store has been an amazing source for all things crafty. I've been shocked by what I can find there. So with that in mind, I've found some amazing Christmas decorating ideas that won't break the bank and ill help you stay on budget while decorating your house like a pro for Christmas.
