What's It Like to Work in an Amazon Warehouse

Pay

The pay is good and good benefits the bad thing about Amazon is they work you hard and they push you extremely hard and it is not cool enough in the warehouse.

Good pay stable work

Amazon overall is a good place to work. It pay is good the work is stable . The benefits are good you get overtime when needed. You work at your pace but there is benefits in working hard. There is chance to move up in the company. I will give it a four stars for employees to work there. There is paid time off as well as vacation days . The work can get repetitive and your standing for long hours so if you are not use to it . It can take a toll on you.

Great gig with generally nice people

Amazon pays very good money especially if there's overtime. I am impressed with how the warehouse works. It's all worked out to the smallest detail and little room for things to go wrong. Simple job. Many different positions available. I just wish that I could stay longer but apparently they rarely extend contracts and very rarely offer permanent positions.

Cons

Short breaks, job security

Its not a bad place to work at, bonuses and benefits

They give you nice bonuses here and there and I don't use their benefits but ive heard from others that they are amazing. If you work in a bad warehouse I understand, but I work in a robotics facility and it's pretty easy and chill.

Ok job if you need the money

Most days were stressful and management was not very helpful. When it came to breaks it was for 30 minutes, however the 30 minutes breaks felt more like 15 minutes due to the Time it take to warm food and get back to location

Cons

Short break, long hours standing

Good pay long hours

Fast paced role, it is quite good pay on a weekly basis but the long hours make the rota almost unbearable. Company provides ppe for workers although toilet breaks seem frowned upon.

terrible workplace

please don't work here unless you are desperate, besides the pay there is nothing else remotely good about working here. the managers have favourites, usually those who are from the same country as them. If you are black or brown its peak, you'll usually be on the worst jobs. A good part is there's quite a few people, if you're young, that are a similar age who you can talk to. But overall its plantation work.

Cons

long hours, slave work

Hard working fast paced environment

The work at first could be kind of confusing as when you first go in for your day 0, the training isn't straight forward and sometimes they don't explain properly

Okay but after a few months you'll be exhausted.

They keep hiring new workers and move everyone around to different processes even though they are happy to work where they are. It's crazy how they operate and the ratio for people leaving is very high.

Cons

Long hours, poor management and to many people who don't speak English.

Fast paced. Constantly on your feet.

I started working with Amazon deh1 warehouse. It is constant, fast paced work but if your willing to do the work and be positive it's worth it. The staff that has dealt with me have all been sweet and patient. I've been treated with kindness, I now love Amazon Even more. Not for the lazy or bone idle . Good pay great opportunities to advance from agency to Amazon (within 7days) I have already been successfull in my conversion application. I'm surprised at some of these reviews, would like to know who u worked with that treated u badly??

Pros

Good pay, onsite training, opportunity to advance within 7 days

Cons

Long hours, no seats, can't have quick rest especially on picking

Great place

I just don't like the fact we work 10 hours hard labor and only get 30 min lunch when we should get a hour and at least 3 15 min breaks they work you like a slave but they do pay well benefits are great and the people are okay.

Pros

Activities, vacation time upfront

Cons

Short lunch and breaks

Na

Everyone was nice a good way to make quick cash they offer great benefits and like the fact that we only work 4 days. But the labor is hard so be ready to stand

fun place to work

I'm enjoying my time here at amazon for now. The pay as well is good but they can do more about the break as it's a bit short for a long hour shift I must say.

So so job

The job had a lot of stress, especially if other workers do not do their job or try to find a lazy way out. The pay may be good but a lot of overworking.

Worst company to work for.

Management is nonexistent. The company works you to the bone and gives you scraps. I was there a year and made less than people currently getting hired. I could say more but I'm sure you've already heard how horrible they treat their employees.

10 hours of standing

The job is sometimes hard and sometimes easy, u basically do the same thing over and over and it will burn u down. I recommend this job if ur out of options

Pros

Able to work by urself

Cons

Short breaks, work like a robot

Apply at your own risk

Amazon wasn't super bad, but management was terrible. All the massive firing days because people where TOT, but wouldn't have anything for us to do. Management mad everything ten times harder than what it should've been.

Cons

Short breaks, Management, Lack of Communication

Just another warehouse job

Working at an amazon warehouse is basically accepting that you will die physically exhausted but be eligible for some great benefits to help with any pain and mental health issues you develop from working the job.

Pay is great, but experience has definitely gone down.

I used to work at an amazon warehouse in FL, where the pay was a little worst but the job was great. The Pendergrass, GA warehouse is the opposite. While the pay is amazing, and I can get a full paycheck after working only 25 hours a week that I would get at another job working 40 hours, this warehouse does not feel inclusive towards its employees as my previous warehouse did.

Cons

Company seems to care less about employees than they used to.

All good hard work needed though as expected

Working at Amazon you can make some great money if you put in the hours, but the jobs are demanding and require lots of physical activity. Managers have all been good and staff are friendly, plenty of people to talk to if you want, but equally if you prefer working on your own that's possible

Pros

Good money, can decide what hours you work

It was okay

I worked here for 5 years, I done a variety of departments and enjoyed them at the start but as with anything - it got repetitive and depressing. Some managers and leaders I had were awful and made me feel undervalued and rubbish. Favouritism is very common here and if your face doesn't fit you won't have a very good time here. On the other hand some managers I had were great and went above and beyond for me, which I am very grateful for. The benefits of working here are great - the pay is high for what you do, you have the same shift schedule every week, 90% of the time your holidays are accepted and you get free onsite parking. I was also offered unpaid time off during exam season at uni - Amazon very much works around you and wants you to improve as a person, they value the well-being of their staff and understand that the jobs there are boring and dull, they do what they can to make it better. A long part of my time here I was in a department which I didn't like and was made to feel useless and singled out because I was part time, but this is not the case in every department. In the other department I worked in part time I felt like it was a much happier and friendlier environment, way more understanding and managed better - this could've been because it was a smaller department maybe. Overall not a terrible place to work and okay for making quick cash, but as a long term job I don't advise it

Pros

Various events throughout the year, pay, breaks, shifts, friends

Cons

Long hours, boring, targets
